Who are you here for?

“I’ve guided people through genuinely high-stakes moments for more than 25 years.”
Why Premier Portraits
There’s a gap between how talented people see themselves and how the world needs to see them. That’s the gap I work in.
Twenty-two years at Microsoft and Google taught me that the most valuable thing you can do for someone is help them be seen clearly — by the right people, in the right light, at the right moment. I spent that time building brands and leading teams, but I was always more interested in the people behind the work than the work itself.
Outside the boardroom, I’ve spent years as a technical diver — part of teams that discovered shipwrecks off the Australian coast and supported a world record cave dive in Florida. What those experiences gave me wasn’t a certificate. It was a very particular kind of patience: the kind you develop when the environment is unforgiving and the margin for error is zero. When your job is to stay calm so someone else can do something extraordinary.
That’s what I bring to a portrait session. I’m a dad of two daughters, and that shapes how I think about every shoot — what it means to be in an unfamiliar environment, working with someone you’ve just met, doing something that requires a degree of courage. My job is to make that part easy.
01
Directed
Clear, confident posing direction throughout every shoot. You don’t need to know what to do – that’s my job.
02
Prepared
A strategy call, shot planning, and preparation materials before we shoot. Every session has a purpose before we start.
03
Purposeful
Every image type is built for a specific job – whether that’s agency submissions, sponsorship proposals, or campaign content. Not just nice photos.
What clients say
Portfolios that got to work
“
Nick was super easy-going and made the process very engaging. His directions were simple and clear, the atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. I was so impressed by the final images! My engagement increased by around 20% on my account after posting, and I feel that I’ve become even more confident in front of the camera. I had so much fun!

Shooting with Nick has been an absolutely amazing experience! I was really nervous and stiff at the start. He managed to guide me, and also let me express myself in my own way throughout the photoshoot. I was really comfortable to the point we had lots of fun and explored new styles! Results? Bombing photos that boosted my Instagram and my portfolio.

“
In a nutshell, Nick is an absolute professional. Every shoot and every shot is planned meticulously, so the result you set out to achieve is the result you get. Modelling with Nick is a pleasure because he provides such clear guidance before and during a shoot. After many shoots with Nick, I feel he has helped me home my craft. I’ve received many compliments on our work.
